The rooms come with all the modern comforts you’d expect from a hotel and include complimentary high-speed wifi. The hotel also has the Red Roof rooftop pool, bar, and grill,

and the OUIBar + KTCHN should you need something to do in the hotel. Though its central location means you’re never far from the urban entertainment offered by Cape Town.

The cost of a stay at the Radisson Red starts at R1080 per room per night. This can vary depending on season and room type, with varying room sizes including family rooms, standard, and superior rooms. Gonana Guesthouse

Gonana Guesthouse is the perfect pet-friendly accommodation in the Western Cape for any ocean lover. Located on a private beach in the Bek Baai area of Paternoster, about 1 hour and 50 minutes from Cape Town. This eco-conscious guesthouse allows you to enjoy a private beach with your furry family members in tow.

The Gonana Guesthouse has select rooms that allow dogs on prior arrangements when making your booking. They even provide a dog bed to ensure their furry guest’s comfort, as well as biscuits and water. 

The accommodations include a luxury buffet breakfast each morning and complimentary wifi. Seven of the eight available rooms have a private terrace with a seating area, and all have a lounge with a fireplace for those cold evenings. All of this is drenched in stunning ocean scenery that is a paradise for all ocean lovers. The private beach provides hours of fun, with sea kayaking, beach buggy rides, horse riding, and E-bike tours. Alternatively, if it is too cold there is a heated pool as well. This guest house is also close to the Cape Columbine nature reserve and other heritage sites.

A stay at the Gonana Guesthouse can cost anything from R1 620 per night for two adults, depending on the season. It is also worth noting that they do not allow children under 12 to stay there. Southern Yurts

If you are looking for an escape back to nature with your furry friend. Then the Southern Yurts is the pet-friendly accommodation in the Western Cape for you. Located about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cape Town on a hill overlooking the Diepklowe Nature conservancy. This private yurt, made from wood beams and canvas, is surrounded by streams and a forest making it the perfect escape from the bustle of city life.

Dogs are welcome at the Southern Yurts by request. Additionally, there is an R100 fee per dog that owners must pay when making their booking. It is also worth noting that aside from their private yurt there is a yurt camp which doesn’t allow pets due to a pair of breeding black eagles. So be sure to specify that you want pet-friendly accommodation when making your reservation.

The lodgings include an enclosed outdoor bathroom with a hot shower, an indoor fireplace and fan/heater, and an enclosed open-plan kitchen. This is the perfect glamping getaway that takes the hassle out of camping. There are a host of activities available including hiking trails, birdwatching, swimming in the dam, and an idyllic swing beneath an ancient oak tree.
